OUR SCHOOL

Alma Bryant opened its doors in 1998, merging two rival high schools Alba High School and Grand Bay High School. Alma Bryant is a rural school that brings together 1600+ students, grades 9 through 12, who reside within the largest land area of all high schools within the county, including the cities/communities of Dauphin Island, Coden, Bayou la Batre, St. Elmo, Irvington, and Grand Bay.

OUR MISSION

Alma Bryant's mission is to unify several communities as one graduating body by enhancing the athletic, academic, artistic, and service talents of our individual students and the school holistically, thereby increasing their educational and social experiences as well as their personal growth.

ARTS GOAL

We focus on project-based learning with the goal of creating productive, self-motivated human beings with love and understanding of the arts. Students not only learn about various art mediums and techniques, but they learn about themselves and how to be creative. Mrs. Rhodes and Mrs. Wheeler both strive to create strong and independent learners. Please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Rhodes or Mrs. Wheeler using the "connect" page, if you have any questions!
